Be wary of dish network test cards

If you surf the Internet you will find many dish network test cards. Online dealers offer them with the idea that they give consumers more freedom of choice. The software is designed to enable consumers to access all channels on the system instead of the limited ones available on their Dish Network programs package.

It is important to note that these dish network test cards or DSS test cards as they are often known are highly illegal. Dish Network and other providers have aggressively begun prosecuting individuals for the production and/or usage of the cards. Dish Network tracks all DSS receiver numbers from the time they leave the factory until they are activated by the customer and know the receiver numbers of the unit(s) that are purchased before they are delivered.

There is another problem with dish network test cards and that is they are not always compatible and may only work on your system for a short time. It makes more sense to use an approved access card from Dish Network and upgrade your programming package if you want more channels. It is interesting to note access cards are included in the free satellite systems on offer by Dish Network dealers.
