How does direct tv equipment work? Read more about satellite TV systems here

Directv began its direct tv equipment satellite TV service in the summer 1994 and according to industry information, it has become the fastest selling consumer electronics product on the block.

How does the direct tv equipment satellite signal transit crystal clear viewing on your TV? The satellite TV system includes a small satellite dish which is a satellite antenna for receiving the satellite broadcast signal; a satellite receiver which translates the digital signal so that a television can show it; and a remote control. Once your satellite TV system is installed, the satellite dish is aimed at the satellite above the earth. Since these satellites never move, your satellite dish never has to move to locate them.

Direct tv equipment has six high-powered satellites about 22,300 miles above the earth. Each satellite has multiple transponders that relay signals from the broadcast centers to each satellite TV dish. DIRECTV has two of the most sophisticated broadcast centers on the planet. One in Castle Rock, Colorado and the other in Los Angeles, California.

The direct tv equipment programming originates from the providers such as CNN, to Directv via fiber optic cable, satellite, or digital tape to the broadcast centers then digitized and uplinked to the high-powered satellites in the sky. The satellite retransmits the signal back to your satellite dish and voila your programming on your TV.
