Dish Network offers descriptive video for the visually impaired

What is descriptive video? It is a service offered through the Dish Network for individuals who are visually impaired. Descriptive video is an audio account, which provides the listeners with descriptions of settings, costumes, scenes and body language in the natural pauses of dialogue or songs.

TNT

Lifetime

Turner Classic Movies

Nickelodeon (East feed only)

Moreover, Dish Network will pass along descriptive video for any broadcast network or cable that provides the service.

How do you utilize the service?

There is a secondary audio option on the Dish Network's satellite receiver’s menu or descriptive video is available on the SAP channel.
