EchoStar is a major
player in the satellite TV industry and are gaining market share
from their biggest competitor, Hughes Electronics, makers of
DirecTV. Echostar has launched eight Dish Network satellites,
which gives them the ability to offer an incredible number of
channels. Currently, they offer around 500 channels, almost twice
as much as DirecTV.
